How it works:
First, you'll need to register to attend Brighton Dance Festival. You can do that here.

Be sure to add "Student Choreography Submission" to your cart. You can find that below the festival class selections on the check out page.

If you already registered for BDF, but decided to add on a Student Choreography Submission at a later date, you can do that without submitting an additional registration form. Simply add to cart and check out.

The week prior to the festival, you will be contacted by someone from the BDF team to collect more information, like your piece title & music.

Pieces must be no longer than 5 minutes. All styles/genres are welcome to submit. Choreographers and performers must be age 12 or older. There is no max age limit. Please be mindful of your music and content, as there will be young dancers in attendance.

On festival day (8/20/22), there will be one Student Choreography Showcase at 2pm.

If you have registered for a class at that time, don't worry, we will issue you a refund for that class if it conflicts with your showcase performance.

Your work will perform in front of a panel of BDF Faculty members. Immediately following your performance, you will receive live feedback from the panel. After the 2pm showcase, our faculty will choose 1-2 pieces to perform in the Professional Showcase to close out the day (6:30pm).
